The March 9th
Q&A

AtkButterfly hmmm, maybe I should have titled the book, Will Fight Food For Evil?
BlackCyberC LOL! I like it!
di k, !st ?, how long have you been writing professionally?
AtkButterfly I began writing seriously in September 94
di I guess that was serious, since you are getting five books pub'd this year. You have only been serious since 94?
AtkButterfly Correct
JanCyberC What's your definition of "serious"? GA
AtkButterfly Writing to be published.
di When did you decide to build P&E, and why?
AtkButterfly I built it to help the writers for a Writers' Workshop on Prodigy that I was asked to host.
AtkButterfly In building a web page for the workshop, I saw that there was a need for information for the attending writers so they'd know where to submit some of their work.
AtkButterfly That was when I built the page and gave it the name.
di So it was not from a "bad experience?"
BlackCyberC Have you done a workshop before?
AtkButterfly Not at all.
BlackCyberC What is involved in doing a workshop?
AtkButterfly Admittedly, I've had encounters with scam artists.
AtkButterfly Well, doing the workshop as far as I saw it was a matter of encouraging other writers to write.
AtkButterfly As well, we performed critiques on each other's work.
dreamer Are Rust Bucket and Atk Butterfly...only available on disk....not printed on paper?
AtkButterfly So far, those are available only in electronic format.
dreamer ah ..how did that come about?
AtkButterfly Essentially, the idea for Rust Bucket came to me, I was excited by the idea, so I wrote it.
AtkButterfly There wasn't any plan at that time to write a sequel.
BlackCyberC Atk, Could you please tell everyone how you got your pen name?
AtkButterfly Then, about a month later, the idea for a sequel came to me as a result of a chat session.
AtkButterfly My pen name and the title of the sequel to Rust Bucket came from the same source.
AtkButterfly That source was an incident that actually happened to me over 20 years ago.
AtkButterfly At the time, I was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army stationed at Fort Benning, Ga.
dreamer hi Karina
BlackCyberC Hi There, Karina!
Karina Hi everyone, hi Dave
BlackCyberC Hi There, z00m!
dreamer hi zoom
z00m hiya alll
AtkButterfly I was on (hi Karina) my way to lunch which meant walking from one vehicle (a main battle tank) of mine to another (my car)
AtkButterfly and had to get from one to the other by a pathway through some woods
AtkButterfly along the way, there was a spot where the path was covered halfway by a water puddle.
AtkButterfly I angled to pass on the almost dry part when I was suddenly and unexpectedly accosted by an aggressive butterfly.
BlackCyberC Tonight we are chatting with author AtkButterfly
dreamer .
z00m Spesial hello to AtkButterfly from Yugoslavia
BlackCyberC Do butterflies usually attack people?
di Hi Karina
AtkButterfly Consequently, I learned that the butterfly was attacking me to keep me from stepping on a second butterfly whose wings were ragged and tattered and who looked near death.
AtkButterfly Not usually, BCC.
AtkButterfly However, some species of butterfly do mate for life.
Karina hi di
dreamer oh I didn't know insects did that....
di .
AtkButterfly At any rate, learning why the butterfly was attacking gave me more than enough reason to respect what was happening and award the victory to the butterfly.
BlackCyberC Good for you!
BlackCyberC How long do they live?
AtkButterfly Since then, I used that example of courage to inspire myself into never giving up no matter what the size of the obstacles in front of me.
AtkButterfly BCC, it depends upon the species.
dreamer hi alex
BlackCyberC Hi There, AWDorn!
AWDorn Good Evening!
BlackCyberC Folks using Browsers to view the chat! Be sure to send a "." into the chat screen or via Private Message, from time to time to avoid punting. Thanks!
JanCyberC .
di .
dreamer ..
BlackCyberC AWDorn, join us for a special chat with author AtkButterfly
Karina do you know what kind of butterfly you attacker was?
BlackCyberC Atk, do you base your characters on people you know?
AtkButterfly no, I don't
AtkButterfly BCC, many of my characters are based on people I know or have seen or briefly met.
BlackCyberC Well, if you have to write about a sadistic Auditor, feel free to use me as an example!!!
AtkButterfly Unfortunately, a lot of them are dull and don't pilot spaceships, but I compensate for that.
z00m Atk how many are they based?
BlackCyberC The real people, or the characters?
di tsk, tsk BCC
BlackCyberC :)
z00m i maen vere is the limit when you start imagining totaly
AtkButterfly zoom, most of my characters are based upon real people.
BlackCyberC Atk, how many stories do you have published?
AtkButterfly however, I generally mix the personalities from several people into one character to avoid any litigation problems
AtkButterfly short or novel length, BCC?
BlackCyberC UM, both
z00m oh but is there coflict betweem those all caracters melted in one
AtkButterfly in short fiction, I've had about 60 short stories published in print or electronic publications (mostly in electronic)
Karina about 60? Losing count? ;)
AtkButterfly zoom, not inside a character in the way you might think... I merge several personalities together to form a character
AtkButterfly Just haven't counted them lately, karina :)
z00m that is very hard action
di and then let them pilot a spaceship :)
AtkButterfly right, di
z00m I ussually do oposute way
AtkButterfly of course, not all my characters pilot spaceships
AWDorn I have noticed that many people approach writing diffrently. Some choose to focus more on the environment than the actual characters and events, especially in Science Fiction. When you write, where do you see the focus of your writing, on your characters, on the events, or the greater Universe at large?
AWDorn :)
AtkButterfly I focus first on the events, then upon the characters
di and answer in 25 words or less :)
BlackCyberC LOL di
AWDorn :)
AtkButterfly consequently, some of my stories take me to endings that I don't expect to take place
dreamer .
di Are you a history buff?
AtkButterfly and some of my stories feature characters who I normally wouldn't have chosen as heroes
AtkButterfly yes, di, I like history
Karina do you ever fight the endings that they take you to? Try to go with the "original" ending rather than the one that presents itself later?
AtkButterfly I tried that, found out that it winds up looking forced, so I don't try to force the ending to be what I originally envisioned
AtkButterfly now I go with whatever direction the events and characters dictate
BlackCyberC Have you ever written a story with 2 different endings because you couldn't decide?
di I have a friend that "talks" with her characters, and claims that they tell her, do you ever get that sensation, that they are leading you?
dreamer .
AtkButterfly I did once before because an editor couldn't decide
BlackCyberC Folks using Browsers to view the chat! Be sure to send a "." into the chat screen or via Private Message, from time to time to avoid punting. Thanks!
JanCyberC .
di wb Nuke
BlackCyberC Hi There, Nuke!
z00m we begin our chatinng with ending
Nuke hi all -- got knocked off there for a sec.
AtkButterfly di, when I write, most of the time, the action takes place in front of my eyes like a hologram movie that only I can see
Karina you could end up with a choose-your-own-ending type of story--for a happy ending turn to page 32, for an ending where the world blows up, turn to 33...
di so you see the action more that "inter-relate" with your characters?
AtkButterfly I see the action
z00m BTW when we r on endings .What do you think about that neverending end liek x-files use
BlackCyberC I like that idea, Karina!
AtkButterfly actually, zoom, I'm working on something right now that threatens to be just such a situation
AtkButterfly it just doesn't want to present an ending
dreamer BTW...I heard that X-Files was renewed for next season
AtkButterfly it wants to keep going on and on forever
Karina sounds like another novel!
AtkButterfly true, Karina, because right now, I'm on the third volume of it
BlackCyberC Sounds like one of my Audits, Atk!
di does it span generations?
AtkButterfly in a way, yes, di
di (not the audit)
AtkButterfly but not in the usual way
BlackCyberC Yes di...Oh
BlackCyberC Folks using Browsers to view the chat! Be sure to send a "." into the chat screen or via Private Message, from time to time to avoid punting. Thanks!
di why humor? SF is not know for humor?
Nuke .
z00m why di
AtkButterfly well, this one just sneaked up on me... it was supposed to originally be a simple, single short story
z00m i think that some smal elements of humor may be usefull to alive story when it is going down
dreamer gotta go...bye
AtkButterfly then I wound up writing some stories that became sequels because they featured the same characters
BlackCyberC dreamer, Have a good evening, and thanks for stopping by!
Karina bye dreamer
AWDorn Good Night, Dreamer!
AtkButterfly partly because I enjoyed the characters so much
z00m bye Dreamer
AtkButterfly thank you for dropping by, dreamer
dreamer youre welcome...atk...bye
Karina do you ever have an idea that seems perfect for a novel but only wants to be a short story?
BlackCyberC or vice versa?
Karina ie, your normal situation in reverse
AtkButterfly at any rate, one thing led to another... before I knew it, I had enough material for a novel, so I used the title from the first short story as the title of the novel... hence Will Fight Evil For Food came about
AtkButterfly Karina, yes, very often
BlackCyberC Hi There, MrNeutron!
AtkButterfly BCC, yes, that happens too
Karina that was a great short story--isn't it going to be published as a novel sometime soon?
MrNeutron Hello Black, fellow personages.
AtkButterfly Yes, Will Fight Evil For Food has been accepted by Oak Tree Publishing and will be published some time this year.
BlackCyberC What I've read so far of Will Fight Evil For Food is GREAT
di .
AtkButterfly Oak Tree has also accepted Star of the Revolution which is slated for release this month.
Karina funny too
BlackCyberC Can we get it at Amazon.com?
AtkButterfly I simply don't know yet if it will be available at Amazon.com. I hope that it will.
BlackCyberC Yiou should DEMAND it !!!
BlackCyberC Hi There, di!
AtkButterfly I'll keep that in mind, BCC.
Karina welcome back di
BlackCyberC Folks using Browsers to view the chat! Be sure to send a "." into the chat screen or via Private Message, from time to time to avoid punting. Thanks!
di Thanks all
JanCyberC .
AtkButterfly Also, you all might want to keep an eye open for Witness Protection which will be released by Hard Shell Word Factory in June
BlackCyberC ACTION pokes JanCyberC, just to see if there is any life left
JanCyberC .
AtkButterfly Witness Protection features a new idea in science fiction that I personally haven't seen used before anywhere.
BlackCyberC Atk, do you do a newsletter for fans to remind them of upcoming events?
AtkButterfly No, I don't, BCC.
di It has been happening every few minutes, must be my ISP tonight
BlackCyberC It happens to all of us, Di!
di What new idea?
Karina what's the idea?
Karina at least give us a hint!
BlackCyberC LOL
MrNeutron the mafia takes over space, Atk?
Nuke .
AtkButterfly We'll put it this way, what happens in Witness Protection is what happens when an invention doesn't work the way it was supposed to and instead turns out to be an invention of a different sort.
Karina I actually think that there was a book just released about that MrNeutron...
MrNeutron reminds me of a ST episode
Karina We'll have to read the book, eh?
di piece of the action?
AtkButterfly The first chapter of Witness Protection will also be featured as a short story in SpaceWays Weekly Email Magazine in April.
MrNeutron yeah
BlackCyberC do you have a URL for that, Atk?
di Well goodnight all & thanks AtkB. My ISP is acting up.
JanCyberC Goodnight di
AtkButterfly regrettably, no, BCC
Karina bye di
AWDorn Good Night, Di!
AtkButterfly night, di, thanks for coming by
z00m see you Di
Karina hang on--i think i have a SpaceWays url....
Nuke .
BlackCyberC di, Have a good evening, and thanks for stopping by!
Karina (knew i had it around!) www.mirror.org/spaceways/
JanCyberC Thanks Karina!
AtkButterfly yep, that's it, all right!
BlackCyberC Thanks
Karina no problem!
z00m I must leave have I nice chating here,,, and where cam i find your stories ATK
BlackCyberC Fastest URL in the west! Hey, that'd make an interesting story!
AtkButterfly right now, several short stories are in various Internet publications online, zoom
JanCyberC Atk, do you have the URLs on your website?
AtkButterfly two novels are available at Boson Books, zoom
AtkButterfly some of them, yes, Jan
AtkButterfly the URLs for the novels are posted there
JanCyberC Then, Zoom, you can find the URLs via AtkButterfly's page here at Cybling...at....
AtkButterfly but not for the short stories since those are online for such short times
JanCyberC http://www.cybling.com/artists/Kuminski.html
Karina isn't that missing a Z?
AtkButterfly yes
JanCyberC eek...sorry
AtkButterfly Kuzminski
JanCyberC http://www.cybling.com/artists/Kuzminski.html
Nuke AtkB -- how do you like publishing your novels electronically? How do you think the process of differs from the 'dead tree' version?
BlackCyberC LOL
z00m see you soon all
Karina LOL 'dead tree' ... I like it!
Karina bye zoom
AtkButterfly thank you for visiting, zoom
MrNeutron still here, di?
AtkButterfly well, Nuke, except for my short fiction, I really don't know what the process is for the "dead tree" version
BlackCyberC z00m, Have a good evening, and thanks for stopping by!
AtkButterfly admittedly, I'd like to have at least one novel published in print format so I'll have one I can autograph for fans
AtkButterfly however, I don't mind having them published electronically since that's clearly the wave of the future
BlackCyberC Is OakTree print?
AtkButterfly to my understanding, Oak Tree does both
BlackCyberC So, I can print out the cover page of WFEFF, and send it to you?
AtkButterfly however, I believe that my work there is scheduled for electronic only
Nuke ok then, how does the electronic version work. Do you work with an editor at Oak Tree to produce the final version, or are you entirely responsible for that?
AtkButterfly BCC, sure, I'll autograph it if you like.
AtkButterfly Nuke, the process varies at different electronic publishers
JanCyberC Folks in the Balcony.... We'll be shutting it down now...but there's plenty of room in the Chat Room...just click on THE BALCONY at the top of your page to enter...
JanCyberC Log of the chat will be available in a couple of days!
AtkButterfly some send back the equivalent of galleys to be corrected or approved
AtkButterfly others might not
Nuke interesting.
AtkButterfly so far, I've only been with publishers who use the method of sending the file back and forth to make sure everrything is all right before it's committed to a final file version
AWDorn That was fun! :)
MrNeutron must be going...evening all
BlackCyberC do you use Word'd Grammar check?
BlackCyberC MrNeutron, Have a good evening, and thanks for stopping by!
AWDorn Good night, MrN
Nuke 'night
Karina bye MrN
AtkButterfly BCC, I avoid using the Grammar check in both Word and WordPerfect
BlackCyberC Good for you!!!
BlackCyberC I hate it. It destroys my Audit reports
AtkButterfly the grammar you see in my work is mine.
Karina Well shoot. So much for my writing time this evening....
AWDorn Don't worry -- just go without sleep. That's what coffee is for. :)
BlackCyberC You are a writer too, Karina?
BlackCyberC YUMMY!
AtkButterfly in fact, BCC, the copy of WFEFF you have is a first draft, complete with all the warts and misspellings and grammar errors I might have made while writing it
Karina yeah
BlackCyberC COOL!
JaniceMars How much help/painful prodding can an author expect from a good editor re: grammar etc.?
Karina i have to go. bye all. see you 'round the RM, Dave!
BlackCyberC Karina, Have a good evening, and thanks for stopping by!
AtkButterfly thank you for dropping by, karina
AWDorn Good night, Karina.
AtkButterfly a good editor will point out some mistakes, but it's the writer's responsibility to do the work
AtkButterfly my feeling is that the writer is supposed to have the manuscript as close to polished as possible before submitting it
BlackCyberC Do you worry about it before submitting?
AtkButterfly the editor shouldn't have much, if anything, to find that's wrong and needs fixing
AtkButterfly not so much as worry as attempt to pay attention to what I'm doing
AtkButterfly the things that I worry about are considerably different
Nuke .
AtkButterfly I'm more concerned with whether a character is too strong for publication, for instance
JaniceMars Too strong?
AtkButterfly and the events, as well
AtkButterfly an example would be thusly... put a rape scene into a novel... that cuts down on the publishers willing to publish the book
JaniceMars Oh...*that* kind of strong.
BlackCyberC ah
AtkButterfly let a main character be a sexual predator, then that also cuts down on the number of willing publishers
BlackCyberC OIC
AtkButterfly however, sometimes those types of characters and events are needed in order to further the plot or make the point
AtkButterfly try to imagine Silence of the Lambs without Hannibal Lector
AWDorn So, have editors made you drastically change characters, in the past?
AtkButterfly not at all, AWDorn
AtkButterfly they either accept the work or don't... with most, it's all or nothing... I can live with that.
AtkButterfly at least it's honest
Nuke .
JaniceMars Have you considered pushing a character past your personal "strong" demarkation to see if they'd try?
AtkButterfly I already have pushed a character beyond what I personally like and the manuscript for that has been accepted
JaniceMars Hmm...that's interesting!
AtkButterfly New Concepts Publishing is releasing Censored By Earth Command: Bullets and Lasers in August this year
AtkButterfly the two main characters are both sexual predators, yet they're the heroes
JaniceMars Will this be paper or electronic publication?
AtkButterfly it's another electronic publication
JaniceMars I don't know if anyone has asked this yet, but what is the SFWA's take on electronic publishing?
JaniceMars Do you know offhand/
JaniceMars ?
BlackCyberC Good Question, Jan!!! (Wish I had a good answer!)
AtkButterfly I don't know their full position as yet.
JaniceMars I thought I'd heard a rumor that they had a committee looking into revising their standards... but I'm not a member so .::shrugs:::
JaniceMars Thought I'd pump you for info. Sorry O8^)
AtkButterfly I'm actually not a member of SFWA yet, either.
AWDorn Exactly what benefits does being a member of SFWA offer? I hope that's not a stupid question.
Nuke I just surfed over to www.sfwa.org and this is what they had to say:
Nuke For purposes of membership eligibility, a "professional" periodical must meet four criteria: 1) It must be published on a regular basis, i.e. no fewer than three issues within one year of the publication of the qualifying story; 2) it must have a minimum paid circulation of 2,000 copies per issue; 3) it must be in the English language; and 4) it must pay at least $.03 per word. Book publishers must appear in Literary Market Place.
BlackCyberC how do you become a member?
AtkButterfly you have to have work published in the criteria that Nuke listed
AtkButterfly then apply for membership
AtkButterfly and pay a fee :)
JaniceMars So, free online 'Zines wouldn't qualify you.
AtkButterfly no, but some of the paying online Zines will
JaniceMars That's cool.
Nuke The answers to some of these questions can be found at this URL: http://www.sfwa.org/org/sfwa_menu.htm
JaniceMars That means they'll have to change 2) slightly.
JaniceMars Thanks Nuke!
BlackCyberC Thanks!
AWDorn So, if you sell your work for 3 cents a word to a 2000-copy magazine, you get to pay SFWA money?
AtkButterfly right, AWDorn
Nuke Yep. :)
AWDorn I wish I'd have thought of that one. :)
BlackCyberC cool!
Nuke I'm sure they'll clarify #2 at some point to include 'unique visits' or some such number for ezines. I don't think they'll turn you down if you get published three times in Event Horizon. :)
BlackCyberC Wonder if my audits count?
AtkButterfly Well, if any of my electronic novels sell well, the SFWA will probably take notice.
JaniceMars LOL
AtkButterfly Of the 5 scheduled for release this year, 3 are very strong and stand a chance of selling well.
BlackCyberC I never bought an electronic book before
JaniceMars Nor I. Is it just a matter of downloading it or do they come via the mail on a CD?
AtkButterfly Janice, electronic books are available on floppy disks, CDs, and as downloads
BlackCyberC special programs, or just use word?
AtkButterfly the downloads might be readable using Adobe or some other system
JaniceMars Is there any difference in the quality, I wonder?
JaniceMars Of the image of the printed page, that is.
AtkButterfly several have already won awards in competition with books in print
AtkButterfly there is a difference in the image quality.
AtkButterfly it doesn't deteriorate
BlackCyberC and it doesn't kill trees!
JaniceMars cool
AtkButterfly in fact, it can even be enlarged for those who need glasses
AWDorn Man, they got mad about MPeg Audio, what will this do to them?
AtkButterfly there are also special readers that can be purchased so readers don't have to remain at the computer or print out the book
BlackCyberC yeah, true! Music indusrty HATES MPEG3!
BlackCyberC How much are they, Atk?
AtkButterfly well, I really can't answer about MPEG3
AWDorn I would guess that SFWA may not like the idea of one copy of a story selling, while millions circulate!?
BlackCyberC the special readers
AtkButterfly the electronic readers, however, range in price from about $200 to $1,000
BlackCyberC OUCH
AWDorn My word was a little stronger. :)
JaniceMars Unfortunately it's a lot like Beta/VHS right now. Each reader seems to have it's own proprietary stuff.
AtkButterfly the $1000 model has a double screen, I believe
Nuke With the proliferation of PalmPilots and such, I think we'll be seeing those prices coming down in the very new feature, as with HDTV.
Nuke Oops -- near feature. :)
JaniceMars Cool. Can't wait.
AtkButterfly yes, I anticipate seeing the price drop within the next year to 2 years at most
AtkButterfly regardless, those authors who have work available in electronic format when the prices reach the point that the market takes off on readers will be the authors with the most to gain
BlackCyberC I wonder if they will include video animation in electronic books
AtkButterfly BCC, some books will
BlackCyberC that would be cool
AWDorn I hope not, myself. Part of the greatness of literature is the lack of outside imagery, in my own opinion, of course.
AtkButterfly one author right now is offering her electronic books (some of them) with original music scores included
Nuke .
JaniceMars .
BlackCyberC I just ordered a CD from author Brian Hopkins (you met him here as BAHWOLF) with his stories and artwork
AtkButterfly AWDorn, I think that visuals will be about the same as for current books
Nuke Ultimately, I think these readers need to pass two tests: 1) Can you bring it to the beach? 2) Can you bring it in the bathroom? If you can answer yes to both questions, then you've got a winner.
AtkButterfly some will have pictures where those might be of use
AtkButterfly Nuke, the readers can already pass both those questions
JaniceMars Nuke, I can't take most of my 2nd hand paperbacks to either place, lol.
AtkButterfly the biggest obstacle to the readers at present is the price and availability
JaniceMars And I can't see buying one reader to read one author's work and then having to buy another for a different author's work.
AtkButterfly some of the readers will download from the Internet, so there won't be any problem with whose files can be read
JaniceMars That's good. Then those will probably be the readers that do well.
AtkButterfly personally, I think that the market for readers will take off when the price reaches $100
Nuke And the price per book?
AtkButterfly one of the nicest things about the readers is that they can hold more than one book at a time... several can hold 10 books at one time.
JaniceMars It should be less than it is currently...more like $10 per?
AtkButterfly book prices are still being worked out, but I'm guessing that they'll be around $10
JaniceMars And I'm assuming that the authors will get a bigger cut of the pie.
AtkButterfly if they're to be successful
AtkButterfly we already are from electronic publishers
AtkButterfly the royalties offered by electronic publishers are greater than those from print publishers
Nuke I think you'd need to be able to save the downloaded copy. I think DIVX has shown in part that people aren't interested in paying a fee everytime they want to read/access the information
JaniceMars Do they give you an advance and royalties, or just royalties?
AtkButterfly the disadvantage is that there are no advances
AWDorn yet! :)
JaniceMars Ah...fast answer.
BlackCyberC I agree, Nuke. I don't see DIVX lastiing
AtkButterfly Nuke, to download the book file, you'd use your computer which will allow you to also save the file for later use or reloading onto the reader
AtkButterfly so far, I don't see the electronic publishers making the DIVX mistake
JaniceMars Pardon my ignorance DIVX?
BlackCyberC well, we will be wrapping this up in a few minutes, so ask any question now
AtkButterfly single use CD, Jan
AtkButterfly you play it, it expires
BlackCyberC It is DVD that you pay for every time you want to watch it
AWDorn DIVX == DVD from Circuit City -- connected to phone line. If you want to watch, you purchase an access code, per 24hour period!
AtkButterfly then it becomes an expensive Frisbee
JaniceMars Eeeew. No wonder I don't know about it. ::::shudder:::
BlackCyberC VERY Expensive!
BlackCyberC Yeah!
BlackCyberC Imagine you buy a video tape, and had to pay 4 bucks every time you wanted to watch it!
Nuke and 20th Century Fox keeps track of every time you watch it -- and what scenes you replay.
JaniceMars Don't they call that BlockBusters?
AWDorn Yes, but you get to keep the tape in your custody!
AWDorn You just need to call them to activate it.
JaniceMars LOL. Not much of an encouragement for the space challenged apartment dweller.
BlackCyberC lol
JaniceMars I don't have any more questions, but I did want to say thank you to Atk for coming out tonight..
AtkButterfly trust me, we'll all become qualified skeet shooters if DIVX gets established
JaniceMars and answering all our questions!
Nuke yes, thanks Atk.
BlackCyberC Yeah, Thanks Atk for letting us pick your brain tonight!
JaniceMars .::applause, applause:::
AtkButterfly you're all welcome, thanks for inviting me
AWDorn Yes, thanks. It's been fun!
AtkButterfly I do hope that you'll buy one of my books when they're released later this year. :)
BlackCyberC You can contact me on Yahoo! Pager, just look for BlackCyberC!!! You can also contact me on ICQ, my number is: 856692
AWDorn Well, you give us good reason to try out this new frontier of electronic publishing!
JaniceMars Black's high recommendation is all I need.
AtkButterfly should I let BCC know that there are already 2 sequels in progress for WFEFF?
BlackCyberC Atk, feel free to come to one of my chats, and let us know when the books are available!
JaniceMars LOL!
BlackCyberC LOL
AWDorn No, you shouldn't. :)
AtkButterfly Forever Against Evil is in the polishing stage and Got Evil? is nearly finished.
JaniceMars Only if you want him on your doorstep drooling Atk.
BlackCyberC as long a s there are no prequels...I can only handle 1 prequel right now
JaniceMars LOL.
BlackCyberC LOL
Nuke lol
AtkButterfly no prequels to this series, but there are to the Rust Bucket series
BlackCyberC ACTION chortles with demonic laughter
AtkButterfly which haven't been released yet
AtkButterfly The Rust Bucket series has 5 prequels.
BlackCyberC only 5?
AWDorn Does each take place before the last?
AtkButterfly only needed 5 to lay the entire groundwork
AtkButterfly each of the prequels takes place before Rust Bucket...
AtkButterfly I wrote them to answer any questions readers might have about how the system of government in Rust Bucket came about
BlackCyberC cool
AtkButterfly and why the Pennyweight Shipping Company behaved the way it did
AtkButterfly because the Admiral in the Rust Bucket series never reveals the secret he's sworn to keep
BlackCyberC any final comments before we end this chat?
AtkButterfly uh, pass the popcorn?
AWDorn And they lived happily ever after?
JaniceMars \*****/
JaniceMars LOL!
BlackCyberC ate it all, sorry
Nuke just that I thought it went quite well. i look forward to future chats
JaniceMars You are such a wretch Black.
AtkButterfly AWDorn, well they will, if I can find a publisher for the last 3 books in the Rust Bucket series
BlackCyberC Nuke, is this your first time here?
AtkButterfly seems that there's too much sex in the last 3 volumes.
JaniceMars LOLOL!
AWDorn I don't know -- now days, that may help!
JaniceMars They certainly must be *steamy* then Atk.
Nuke BBC -- not quite -- I've stopped in once or twice, but haven't had the time to hand around. But my wife's away on vacation this week so...
AtkButterfly well, the lead character in the last 3 books is a female who's also a part time prostitute
JaniceMars Nuke, you need to do what most of us have done.
BlackCyberC ah, I see
Nuke oh?
JaniceMars Get another computer and have another phone line put in. Hook the spouse online and they stop looking at you funny.
BlackCyberC LOL
JaniceMars Works everytime.
AWDorn A Prostitute with a heart of gold? Well, Hollywood loves those kind. "Pretty Woman" "Trading Places" "Leaving Las Vegas"

BlackCyberC LOL
AtkButterfly AWDorn, yes, she's got a heart of gold and the aim of Annie Oakley
JaniceMars Sounds like an interesting woman Atk.
AtkButterfly and the nerve of a cold blooded killer
